A new Transversal Action « Pollution & Contaminants » was recently implemented within the national MISTRALS program. The objective is to undertake a review of research conducted within different projects and to outline them in an integrated and coherent vision allowing identification of MISTRALS inputs into this crucial issue for the living conditions in the Mediterranean region.    

This first scientific workshop organized by AT P&C aims to bring together the partners involved, so that they can be better acquainted with ongoing and under development activities and may initiate summary of MISTRALS contribution to the topic of pollution and contaminants and their impacts in Mediterranean ecosystems. It will also enhance the common linkages and encourage new actions to tackle this topic within MISTRALS framework.

The presentations proposals should be submitted before October 15^th 2018 on this site and send to the session’s leaders and to Jean-Claude Dutay (Jean-claude.dutay@lsce.ipsl.fr) and Jacek Tronczyński (Jacek.Tronczynski@ifremer.fr). 

The Transversal Action « Pollution & Contaminants » will take place in the M I O building, Bâtiment OCEANOMED Méditerranée, Campus de Luminy, 163, avenue de Luminy, 13009 Marseille, France.

Daily lunches and coffee breaks are offered by Transversal Action « Pollution & Contaminants » organization.

Travels, accommodation and diners will be in the charge of the participants.

 Take a taxi to reach the Luminy campus site

 User public transportation :

• • Take the metro from Saint Charles station till "Rond Point du Prado" (line 2, direction "Sainte Marguerite. Dromel")
  • Take bus 21, till the terminus (Luminy)
    (Buses circulate every 10 minutes between 5h15 and 20h30 weekdays, are very rare on sunday and inexistant during evenings)
    Approximate journey length: 40 minutes

 By car (car rental) :

• • Use the “Cours Lieutaud” street on about 2 km
  • Take right “Boulevard Baille”
  • At the round-about (Place Castellane) turn left on “Avenue du Prado”
  • Continuetraight till the Mazargues obelisque (Road signs from the Obelisque).
  • Continue straight to the Luminy Campus (6.3 km)

 With public transportation from the city center

 By car

Arrival from A7 highway (North), Berre/Marignane section :

• • Take the A55 highway (autoroute du Littoral) - Direction Vieux-Port, La Joliette
  • Take the Vieux-Port tunnel, then at the exit, use the toll tunnel (Prado-Carénage) - direction Aubagne-Toulon
  • At the tunnel exit (use exit number 2), take the street "rue de Pologne" (200m), reach the Rabateau boulevard (keep the right lane of the plateform), and follow to the "Rond point du Prado" roundabout.
  • Use "avenue Michelet" (located on your left) till the Mazargues obelisque (Road sign from the Obelisque).
  • Continue straight to the Luminy campus

 Arrival from the A50 highway (East) :

• • At the highway end, take the direction of Mazargues. At the roundabout, take back the A50, and use exit number 2 to reach boulevard Rabatau by the "rue de Pologne" street (keep the right lane of the plateform), and follow to the "Rond point du Prado" roundabout..
  • Use "avenue Michelet" (located on your left) till the Mazargues obelisque (Road sign from the Obelisque).
  • Continue straight to the Luminy campus
